Government House Mysore (2026): The 1805 British Residency & Raj Bhavan
Nestled inside a 50-acre wooded parkland, Government House stands as one of South India’s finest classical Regency structures. Constructed following the restoration of the Wadiyar dynasty in 1799, the mansion accommodated the British Residents who represented the Crown at the Mysore court.
In 1807, an immense Banqueting Hall was added without a single central pillar, covered by a magnificent arched wooden ceiling that was the engineering marvel of early 19th-century Madras Presidency.

Government House Estate & Gordon Park
The estate contains some of the oldest Samanea saman (rain trees) in Karnataka, planted under the direction of botanist Gustav Krumbiegel.
